As a Data Engineer you play an important role in developing cloud-based architecture to analyze and process data according to the needs of our customers. We offer you the opportunity to make an impact as a Data Engineer and to let organizations perform digitally. We work in (multidisciplinary) teams on a project basis for our clients. This offers opportunities to take ownership and create impact! As a Data Engineer, you will mainly work within companies in retail, wholesale, manufacturing, finance and you may also be involved in HR Analytics projects. You are involved in designing and developing technical solutions that make it possible to collect, store and analyze large amounts of data. The customer wants to understand the data and, for example, improve performance. As a Data Engineer you will set up data platform technologies that manage and secure the flow of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, but also develop and maintain an optimal data pipeline and architecture. With us you will have the opportunity to advise customers in forming a data strategy and rolling it out within the organization.

Briefly about you
- You are flexible when it comes to traveling (work area is the Netherlands)
- You are proficient in spoken and written Dutch and English
- You have good communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- You like to share knowledge and skills with colleagues and customers
- Experience with Agile projects is a must, and possibly a role as Product Owner is a plus.

Job requirements
- +/- 5 years of demonstrable relevant work experience
- Completed (relevant) HBO/WO study
- You have extensive experience with R or Python and/or Scala
- You have extensive experience with big data frameworks, such as Hadoop, Spark or Flink
- You have extensive experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- You have experience with relevant components of MS Azure (Cloud) Stack (or for example AWS, GCP)
- Knowledge of data modeling and data architecture;
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes;
- Experience with data governance and data quality management
- Cloudera, Docker, Kubernetes, API experience is a plus
