As ICT System & Operations Manager, you will work with and lead a small team of ICT System/Security Architects and Engineers. You are ultimately responsible for managing and optimizing our Microsoft-based infrastructure and systems. You play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity and security of our IT environment. You work closely with and direct other IT professionals to ensure that our systems operate efficiently and reliably. Determining the integration strategy regarding the ICT infrastructure of new acquisitions and realizing the integration in close consultation with the local ICT department.

You report to the CIO. This role is currently still being filled by the CFO.

  • Your tasks & responsibilities
  • You lead a small team of system/security architects and engineers.
  • Realizing the integration strategy at the level of systems and security.
  • Determining the priorities for the team.
  • Managing and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server environments.

Job requirements

Your profile

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in ICT.
  • At least 10 years of experience as a Microsoft System Administrator, both on-premise and in the Cloud.
  • Experience leading small ICT teams, with people management skills.
  • Experience in an international environment.
  • Communicative skills and the ability to persuade colleagues of proposed solutions (creating buy-in). Non-hierarchical communication.

In-depth knowledge of:

  • Active Directory
  • Microsoft stack: Microsoft 365, XDR Stack, Intune Endpoint Mgmt, Azure AD, Entra ID, etc.
  • Network security: Networking basics, segmentation principles, Firewalls (Fortinet and Sophos).
  • Microsoft Windows Server
  • Exchange Online

Also experienced with:

  • Azure Cloud technologies
  • SharePoint management and support
  • PowerShell
  • Backup. Knowledge of Veeam is a plus.
  • Virtualization platforms (such as Hyper-V, VMWare, etc.)
  • Vulnerability Management (Tenable, Rapid7,…)
  • Security Frameworks (CIS18, NIST, …)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Ability to effectively share knowledge and mentor others.
  • Relevant MS certifications are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
