Company description: Looking for an enthusiastic hands-on system administrator to manage our internal IT infrastructure and to provide technical support to our customers with installations, migrations and diagnostics of problems. Develops 3D drawing, calculation and planning software for the industrial construction sector. The company is internationally active and one of the market leaders in this type of software. You will work closely with colleagues from both the development and support teams.

Profile You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering or have equivalent experience. You can work systematically and independently. Your problem-solving thinking helps you in performing your function.

Your profile:

  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Experience with Azure (VMs, Azure AD, resource management, VPN, etc.)
  • Knowledge of networks, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, VPN configurations
  • Familiar with backup solutions and disaster recovery procedures
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of software at customers is an asset
  • Dutch speaking, with a good basic knowledge of English

Supplies and maintains modular standard ERP software programs and, where necessary, we develop custom software.

Works daily on even smarter solutions so that our customers can also have the most modern systems in the future. In order to stay informed of developments and wishes, we maintain contacts with our customers and with various trade associations and their members (e.g. VWN). We are also no strangers to suppliers of control systems for the concrete industry and to suppliers of machines for the concrete reinforcement industry.

Job requirements

Your responsibilities: Internal IT:

  • Maintenance of internal servers: backups, user accounts, rights management
  • Set up and provision workstations and accounts for new employees
  • Managing our Microsoft 365 tenant: Exchange, SharePoint, etc.
  • Management of Azure environment (e.g. virtual machines, networks, backups)
  • Support for software deployment and updates
  • Documenting procedures and infrastructure

External to customers:

  • Installation and basic configuration of i-Theses software at end users
  • Installation and maintenance of IIS and associated (web) applications for new customers or during migrations.
  • Software license management (activation, renewal, monitoring)
  • Provide technical (basic) support for customer questions that do not require software code modification
  • Diagnose performance issues on customer servers (e.g. slow systems, unreachable applications)
  • Identify causes of network or server related issues in collaboration with the support or development team
  • Thinking along and developing more efficient deployment and support flows
