Are you ready to turn the student driver segment in Belgium upside down? We, the pioneer and market leader in the industry, is looking for a Medior Backend PHP Developer who will help us pave the way to the future. With more than 1,500 talented drivers spread across Flanders, we are the driving force behind this dynamic sector.

As a member of our IT team, you will work side by side with a passionate team that wants to build the next killer features for our app together with you. You will help develop and extend our API to support our international ambitions. You will work on converting business requirements into application logic, taking into account the challenges that come with developing an international application.

Provider of drivers for multinationals, SMEs, management, independent professionals, governments, TV productions, leasing companies, rental companies, festivals, … More than 700 qualified drivers active throughout Belgium.

Our goal is to be the bridge between drivers and customers who want to be driven. We want to convert travel time into working time or offer a safe solution when you want to have a drink. We are a macro mobility solution and offers enormous efficiency gains when a larger number of kilometers have to be driven.

Job requirements

Your profile:

  • You are a junior developer and speak English as well as Dutch.
  • You are interested in learning about Microservices and running different types of workloads in AWS.
  • You are interested in contributing new features, from design to development.
  • You have at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science (or equivalent).
  • You are expected to come to the office (in Kortrijk) twice a week.
  • Both teamwork and independent work are no problem for you.
  • Problem solving is your superpower.
  • You breathe the latest technological trends and developments.
  • PHP is not unknown to you, you have knowledge of:
  • The Symfony framework and Doctrine ORM
  • Designing and developing RESTful APIs
  • You have experience in writing high-performance SQL queries, with extra attention to best practices.
  • You have experience with managing code via version control (git).
  • You have experience in writing tests using the following tools:
    • PHPStan
    • PHPUnit
    • Codeception

Nice-to-haves:

  • You have a portfolio of relevant work that you can present
  • You have experience with Docker
  • You have experience with AWS
  • You have experience with MySQL and/or Redis
  • You have worked in an agile environment before
