What are you going to do?

As Principal Data Governance / Data Management Consultant, you ensure that our clients can work more data-driven on a daily basis. From a business perspective, you support our clients in a practical way on all facets of data management; from data vision and data strategy to data quality and from data architecture to data governance. As Principal Consultant, you are an expert and advisor in various areas of data management, you take the lead in our projects and act as the link between the strategic (project) objectives and their elaborations. You identify the concrete need, make the solutions known and actively work on them. As Principal Consultant, you contribute to sales processes with your substantive vision and you are the driving force behind internal and external knowledge sharing activities. You are closely involved in coaching your data management colleagues and act as a source of information to help professionals and our clients further on their way.

Job requirements

Who are we looking for?

• You are able to lead and coach a project team of colleagues during our projects.
• You are able to give direction to a project, build a project from scratch and determine what needs to be done and in what order.
• You are able to create a project plan and budget and get both the client and the team on board during the project.
• You are able to speak to stakeholders, advise and guide them during our projects.
• You are able to see opportunities and possibilities for both our customers and to realize them.
• You are an experienced consultant who recognizes the value of data and can act as a bridge between business, IT and data.
• You are familiar with DAMA DMBoK or another data management framework and have used it with customers.
• You are highly analytical and find it important to really dive into something.
• You enjoy sharing your knowledge and providing training in the field of data management and data stewardship.
• In addition to your substantive skills, we find your consultancy skills very important.

What are you taking with you?

• A completed academic education or equivalent work/thinking level.
• Extensive consulting experience in the domain of data management and/or data governance
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Excellent social and analytical skills and the ability to always find a solution.
• Demonstrable experience in data management (e.g. data strategy, data quality, data governance, data architecture).
• Demonstrable experience in consultancy and change management.
• Demonstrable experience as a project manager and/or lead consultant.
• Knowledge of data management frameworks, such as DAMA DMBoK.
• Knowledge and experience with Collibra or other data management software.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure or other data platforms is a plus.
• Communication skills (e.g. personal conversations, presentations, analyses) to convey advice effectively to our clients.
• Active involvement in our organization. You enjoy sharing your knowledge, thinking along in the growth of our organization (eg writing blogs, marketing etc.) and being involved in our internal and external events.
